Raised by the West
Forged in the Law
Cheyenne’s academic foundation was laid at Texas A & M, and his legal perspectives were shaped at the Texas Wesleyan School of Law. He began his law career in Fort Worth’s dynamic legal environment, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of the justice system. Over the course of two decades, Cheyenne’s expertise and dedication led him to solve complex problems in criminal law, culminating in his tenure as a Criminal District Magistrate.
A New Chapter in Killeen
In 2018, responding to a friend’s invitation, Cheyenne moved to Killeen to join Lane Heginbothan at Harris Law Firm, where he practiced both Family and Criminal Law. In 2024, he joined the Barnhill Law Firm to lead the Criminal Law section as a seasoned legal expert. His exposure to diverse cultures and social settings further enhanced his compassionate leadership and ability to communicate effectively with all members of society, from jail cells to corporate offices and even the Governor’s office.
A Family Built on Love
Cheyenne’s life was enriched by meeting Louanna Barbosa, the love of his life, who shares his thoughtful and service-oriented goals. Grounded in mutual spiritual values, true loyalty, and devotion, they joined Louanna’s large, loving family. Together, they celebrate with their children: Jackson, Cheyenne’s Aggie engineer son, and daughters Piper and Tawnie, both bright, beautiful, and talented.
Committed to Community
Cheyenne is actively involved as an Associate member of the Central Texas Republican Women and Salado Area Republican Women. He serves as the Chaplain for LULAC #4297, Parliamentarian for West Side Coalition Conservatives, Parliamentarian for District #17 LULAC, and legal counsel for the Central Texas Bar-B-Q Round Up. He is also a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, and State Bar of Texas and the Bell County Bar Association.
